I'm a blogger, can I join Bloguin?
Bloguin is constantly looking for new blogs to help grow the network. However, we are selective in who we choose to bring into the fold. The main qualifications that we're looking for in potential bloggers is a proven history of being consistent and dedicated to their hobby as well as the ability to produce high-quality content. If you feel that you meet those requirements, please fill out our application form and we'd be pleased to check out your blog and see if it's right for Bloguin.
My site doesn't fit into one the categories listed on your front page. Can I apply anyway?
While we currently have a large sports focus, Bloguin is certainly not sports-exclusive. If your blog doesn't fit into one of our current categories, you're encouraged to apply for acceptance into the network anyway. We're looking to expand to cover a multitude of topics and your blog could very well be just the thing we're looking for in a particular area.
Can I write for other sites?
Sure. In fact some of our writers have found additional writing gigs at some of the companies below. Some of our writers have even found full time employment at local newspapers.
How do your bloggers make money?
Revenue is generated through advertisements. The money made from the advertisments on a blogger's site is split between the blogger and Bloguin. This split covers the costs of hosting and helps compensate for the time spent building, designing, and maintaining the various Bloguin sites. There are also additional opportunities for bloggers to earn additional money by helping to grow the network.
How much money can I earn from Bloguin?
I promise that I'm not trying to dodge the question, but it's impossible to give an accurate answer because there are so many factors which determine the amount of revenue generated by a website. As a general rule, revenue is tied to the amount of a traffic a site receives. If your site gets 1,000 visitors a day, it's safe to say that you'll make more than if you were only getting 500. However, it's not a linear relationship, so a site getting 1,000 visitors will not necessarily make twice as much as when it was only getting 500 visitors. Doubling your visitors might only earn you 50% more revenue, or its entirely possible to do even better and actually earn triple the money. There's just too many variables involved and revenue is really determined on a site-to-site basis.
I will tell you this: even with the revenue split, I'm fully confident that bloggers on our network will make more money than if they decided to go it alone. We design our sites specifically to max-out your ad revenue, we work hard to get you into high-paying networks that you wouldn't be able to access on your own, we boost your traffic through network cross-promotions, and we give you a visually appealing and high-functioning site to encourage repeat visits. It's entirely true that if you built a true power-house site from the ground up, you'd be far better off than joining Bloguin. However, it would take years of hard work, research, tinkering, optimizing, and some luck to get there. Bloguin cuts out the tedious parts and sets you up to be successful from the start.
